Magic tree house carried Jack and Annie to a sandy desert. It was perched on a palm tree.
And the black cat was under the palm tree.
Annie shouted to the black cat that has yellow eyes, "hi!"
Jack worried might someone heard her sound.
The cat was running toward a giant pyramid in the desert. And they saw a parade that was going to the pyramid.
The parade was oxen, sled, Egyptians, black cat. All were moving slowly, dreamy way..
Jack studied the Egypt book. The parade was an Egyptian funeral.
Annie hurried down the rope ladder, saying have to hurry if someone wants to see a mummy in the parade.
She shouted again, "Mummies!"
Jack followed down Annie. Because he wondered about mummies.
They ran to the parade. Suddenly it was gone. Only there was the great stone pyramid.
Annie guessed it maybe was the parade of ghosts. But Jack bet it was a mirage.
Just then the black cat appeared near the pyramid.
They dashed to the cat that walked around a corner of the pyramid.
The cat disappeared through the hole in the pyramid.
