He was an enormous ugly monster.

He had two big legs, swinging a long and thick tail, two tiny arms.

And he had a huge head. And his jaws were wide open.

The Tyrannosaurus was coming across the plain. Jack saw his long, gleaming teeth.

Jack and Annie ran to the tree house.

They dashed down the hill. Through the tall grass, through the ferns, past the Pteranodon, and to the tree house.

Then they looked through the window.

After a long moment, They saw Tyrannosaurus had gone. They tried to back to Frog Creek.

But They didn't have the book of


Pennsylvania. Because Jack left the book and his backpack on the hill.

Jack hurried back to the hill. The valley of nests was filled with Anatosauruses. All standing guard around the nests.

Jack took a deep breath. Ready! Set! Go! He charged down the hill. He picked up his backpack and grabbed the dinosaur book. Just then came a tuba sound. Another. Another. All the Anatosauruses were bellowing at Jack.

Jack took off and raced up to the hiiltop. He started down the hill. Soon he stopped.

Because the Tyrannosaurus rex was standing between Jack and the tree house.
