I went to the Children’s storytime which is conducted in Korean at the library with my husband and second daughter this morning. It was the first time to visit there. There were some kids around my daughter’s age and their parents.
The host of the storytime asked children’s names at first and then she read a children’s book about a cat and some insects to us.
After she finished reading the book, she gave folded-paper cicadas to each child. And we sang a song and danced together but my daughter wasn’t interested in anything about the class and she just moved around the library.
I was a little embarrassed when she didn’t concentrate the class. But I think that’s because of her first time and she needs some more chances to meet other kids.
The library has a Korean storytime once every two weeks but it’s only on Monday so I can’t attend that class from next week because my English class will start next Monday.
But I need to go out often with her anywhere for her and make her new friends soon.
I should find another playgroups for her, and for me.
