Tne place that Jack n Annie landed was China berfore the paper was invented.  At  that time, chinese had used bamboos to write something.(closer drawing the charaters than wtriting letters.)

Jack n Annie had a bamboo stick Morga had given. There were  strange wrtings on it and Jack n Annie had to find out  the imperior library before it's destroyed.

Jack n Annie looked out the window in the tree house. Around a lone tree, oxes grazed and a man was gazing over Jack Annie next to the oxes. At the edge of the feild was a farmhouse. Beyontd the house was a walled city.

jack n annie started down a rope ladder and thorgh in the field. Suddenly, the young man run to them and wanted jack n annie do some favor for him. The favor about sending a message(meet in the field at twilight) to a waman with silk weaver in the farmhouse.

Jack was worried about finding the Imperial Library. But they got to the house and met the woman with silk weaver.

Annie gave her the message and the woman gave a thread with silk for thank.

A man was pointing at them. So, jack n annie hurried away from her.

The shouting behind them got louder.

Jack and Annie looked at each other, then dived into the back of the wooden cart. They buried themselves in the middle of the bags of grain.

Suddenly the cart lurched forward. Someone was driving them away!

The driver moved though the way connected  the walled city.

Just then, someone grabbed Jack and Annie.

It was the driver of the cart.

Annie brought out secret cards to him, he noticed jack n annie had been the Magic Librarians. So, he wanted to help them


Actually, he was a scholar but as the Dragon King was afraiding of kowledge, the king forced to clear the books and scholars. So, all of the scholar had to hide themselves.So did he.

The oxen came into the gate. then it passed houses with curved roofs and pottery tiles, passed shops with stalls and shoppers. It stopped in front of the palace gates

Suddenly,the scholar shouted pointing at the palace courtyard. A dark cloud of smoke was rising into the sky.

The scholar snapped the reins. The oxen trotted up the stone path. When the cart rolled into the courtyard, soldiers were everywhere.

Soldiers were burning the bamboo books on a huge bonfire. Beside the fire, the bamboo books were stacked waiting to be burn. The thing that jack n annie had been looking at also was there.

The Dragon king was that place as gazing at the bonfire.

Annie rushed toward the stacks and snatched the book.

The dragon king forced the soldiers to seize jack n annie. Jack and annie started hurring away and arrows wizzling by

They saw a doorway dne of the mounds and got inside.

It was a tomb. The Dragonking's tomb.

They were in a room filled with soldiers—thousands of them.

The Dragon King had 7,000 life-size clay figures made for his burial tomb. The clay was baked and painted.

He hoped these would protect him by some dangers.

No two soldiers had the same nose, the same eyes, or the same mouth.

Jack n annie kept walking to find out a entance. But they couldn't., just walking endlessly.

It was getting darker, Jack felt like the air was thicker and breathing harder.

He reached into the sack and pulled out the bamboo book. He held it up and said, “Save us!”

However, nothing happened. Did again. Nothing happened.

Just then, the ball of thread rolled out his sack and made a yellow silk road.

Jack n annie follwed the silk trail up. and finally they found a entrance.

Annie pushed out the door and stepped into the dim daylight.

Just then, a gong sounded. It means the gate will be cloesd and  the city is sealed shut for the night.

Jack clutched his sack as they took off. They charged up the street. They ran past the market. They ran past the rich houses … past the poor houses.

Jack follwed annie up a rope ladder and they got into the treehouse.

They made a wish and came back to the Pensilvenia safelty
