The ninjas stared at Jack and Annie with dark, piercing eyes.
Jack felt frozen, but Annie was not.
Annie stepped right up to them and said "hi"
Ninjas didn't answer.
Annie said that they're trying to help Morgan, their friend.
Annie handed the Morgan's note to tall ninja.
He took it and read, then he showed it to short ninja.
They stared at each other.
They tossed the rope ladder out of the tree house. then pointed down the ladder and Jack and Annie.
They moved down the ladder very fast.
Annie climbed down follow them.
Jack wanted to get back home, but he followed Annie to the ground.
Ninjas, Annie and Jack joined on the ground.
The short ninja held Jack and Annie's arms. He led them through the twillight.
The tall ninja walked behind them.
The ninjas stopped near the rushing wide stream.
They started wading across.
Jack and Annie stepped into the water follow them. but soon they jumped out.
The water was very cold like ice.
They thought that they couldn't across the stream.
Two ninjas turned around and came back.
The tall ninja lifted Jack and put on his shoulder. and the short ninja lifted Annie and put on his shoulder.
Two ninjas stepped into the icy water again and across it calmly.
